As we start our 23rd year in the gay media, PINK & PINKPAGES is please to announced our new vision to take us into a successful future.
Our long presence and achievements in the gay media are the basis of our success and accomplished reputation. These combined with our forward thinking, will guide us in achieving our new goals. By becoming partners with PINK, we all will enjoy continued success within the LGBT community.
This vision reminds me the launched of the PINKPAGES in 1990, but this time we have the experienced and many connections. With this in mind, I would like to suggest partnerships with your organization and PINK & PINKPAGES, including opportunities for social events, as well as mutual financial gain.
In 1990, the PINKPAGES was introduced to the LGBT community in New York, and in 1991 we opened a second office in Chicago. In 1995, after the expansion to other cities and securing our position and relationship with the LGBT community, the PINKPAGES launched its second title: PRIDE. This full color glossy magazine was the first upscale monthly magazine to hit the LGBT community in Chicago, Denver and Seattle. After 9/11 in 2001, the PINKPAGES and PRIDE evolved into PINK a magazine and directorty combined. As a "yellow pages" pioneer, and the first regional publication to expand and operate in major cities across the USA, our titles became an important, influential, and integral part of the LGBT media. For more than 22 years, our voice did, and still does, make a difference in and for the LGBT community.
As a result of many changes in the publishing industry, PINK has changed its look, focus and direction in both print and online by adding new and exciting features on our website, social media pages, and print issues.
Since its launch in May 2012, PINK has a new design, new features, and great daily editorial content. PINK & PINKPAGES went from 30,000 hits in May 2012 to 836,000 hits in January 2013. Our website attracts an average of 15,000 unique visitors per month, and is growing fast. At this rate, my goal of 1,000,000 hits per month will be met before its due date of June 2013. Recently, I ran two experimental promotions on Facebook. The first was in September 2012, and the second in January 2013. As a result of these promos, PINK got over 500 new "likes" in only 8 days.
PINK Magazine won the "Best of Chicago 2012 Award" for publishing and service,
PINK Magazine being named as one of the "TOP10 LGBT Magazines/Publications in the USA for 2012" by Cision Navigator.
PINK's Publisher David Cohen, was one of the "TOP 5% Most Viewed LinkedIn Profiles for 2012."
Once again I'm ready for another change that will leave a huge impact on the LGBT community. For the first time, the PINKPAGES will include "A Gay Visitor Guide to Chicago" in the upcoming spring 2013 issue. By June, Denver, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle will follow Chicago just in time for Gay Pride Month.
As the golden demographic for any travel industry business, the LGBT travelers spend over $800,000,000 per year. Today, PINKmag.com offers our readers the ability to purchase airline tickets, book their gay vacations, choose their gay honeymoon destinations, make dinner reservations, and purchase tickets to shows, museums, and more. Our new online PINKStore will offer high quality, upscale items reviewed in our editorial column PINKPICKS.
Currently, the PINKPAGES consists of four sections: editorial section (PINK); business directory (PINKPAGES) of gay and gay friendly businesses; a guide to gay wedding services(MarryMePINK); and coupon program (PINKCoupon). By adding the Gay Visitor’s Guide, the PINK & PINKPAGES will become the most comprehensive publication to serve the LGBT community in Chicago and the USA.
This will secure our position not only in the USA, but in the international LGBT community as well. With the help of our partners, PINKmag.com will become a one stop shopping for reading, shopping, and information to the global LGBT community. This will complete my vision to provide the Ultimate Gay Experience ever to hit the USA and the international LGBT community.
Our new philosophy has enabled us to anchor and position our cities as travel destinations. We have already partnered with local tourism offices to provide our readers with information on what to do, see, and explore.
The PINKPAGES Directories will continue to be the source of gay owned and gay friendly services to the LGBT communities in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
Our column "MarryMePINK" is a comprehensive spot where readers can find all the answers and services for Gay Weddings and Civil Unions. "MarryMePINK" is the perfect marriage made in heaven for any wedding service provider who is looking to capture the business of couples looking to get married or find their perfect honeymoon destination.
