The new design of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550 is all about style and status. The SL550 is a bit longer and wider and has many luxurious features including a panoramic sunroof, 12-way adjustable heated leather seats, state of the art media interface, command navigation, Sirius satellite radio, real-time traffic, and electronic cruise control. These exemplary features provide the ultimate comfort and conveniences for both the driver and the passenger.

The SL550 is the first all-aluminum-bodied model for mercedes-benz. This keeps the car extremely rigid, as well as 275 pounds lighter from the previous models. The 4.6-liter bi-turbo direct injection v-8 engine with 429 hp, 516 lb-ft of torque, and turbo boost of 13 psi, causes a reduction in fuel consumption which can be attributed to the engine’s start-stop function. In addition, the SL550 has the ability to be at 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds from zero start. The seven-speed automatic transmission with the Comfort, Sport, and manual modes are an improvement in performance from previous years, making the SL550 very powerful and a fun car to drive!

Other features include the Magic Vision Control ––a heated wiper blade that releases washer fluid ahead of the blade to keep the windshield clean. The heated wiper allows warm water to be applied onto the wind- shield in cold temperatures that helps prevent the buildup of snow and ice in the winter months. FrontBass is a new technology that takes advantage of the aluminum structure and provides a "concert hall ambience." finally, the Hands-Free Access system allows the trunk to be opened with a swipe of the driver’s foot below the rear bumper.

The 2013 mercedes-benz SL550 will be available in the u.S in spring 2013. If money isn’t an issue, this gem could be yours for only $131,305.
