The Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago hosted dozens of travel, media and sales professionals in the lower ballroom and conference center at the city’s Park Hyatt Hotel Wednesday, October 13, 2010. In celebration of “It & Me” 2010’s Motivation Show—an annual convention featuring programs geared toward the incentive, recognition, loyalty and motivational meetings industry—The Tourist Office of Spain showcased an evening of mingling, dining and dancing.
The night’s highlights featured an open bar and a buffet of Spanish delicacies, such as seafood paella, two carving stations and an individual conference room filled with dessert. A live band, performing native songs as well as mainstream favorites, took the stage while couples in attendance (some wearing boots as exotic as the Spanish-themed backdrop) enjoyed the adjacent dance floor.
The Tourist Offices of Spain are the representatives abroad of the Instituto de Turismo de España (TURESPAÑA), which is the Administrative unit of the Central Government of Spain in charge of promoting Spain abroad as a tourism destination. Their website offers visitors a comprehensive look at the culture, cuisine and attractions available to those traveling to Spain. www.spain.info/index.html?l=en_US
